The guy had a very serious injury, didn't have any time to recover and they made him go to the Olympics anyway. I guess he's only performing on the pommel horse and rings. Maybe parallel bars, but it would still be too risky. This is absolutely mad. Poor Dalaloyan. I hope his coaches don't push him too hard to the point this could end his career.

Russia's coach said that he has 1 month to recover

This is not even close to the usual time it takes for his injury to heal safely. They're risking his health and his career here.

Most probably he will have steroid injection then.

“We have decided on the all-around squad for the Olympic Games. We are counting on (Arthur) Dalaloyan , who still has almost a month to recover, which is going well. And there is no equivalent replacement for him. Therefore, the all-around squad is first of all ( Nikita) Nagorny , (David) Belyavsky , Dalaloyan and (Alexander) Kartsev ."

So, the plan is to add him to the team and gift him a team medal without him actually doing anything?

This is actually a beautiful homage to Dalaloyan, but unfair to other gymnasts who are working hard for their place.

    • I hope they can kick teqball and convince the North Koreans to play the real deal  (very unlikely, I know(   Obstacle racing on the other hand, it should be a compulsory sport of the ABG

    • Oops. I must have misunderstood. I could have sworn I saw her jogging in a field of other men. I assumed she had caught up to some of the slower men. (I admittedly wasn't watching closely.)
    • The women started earlier, it was a race without any men participating.
    • Looking forward to this competition starting tomorrow! Will be nice to see some other countries participate. USA women start with Namibia tomorrow.
    • This came out on the official website yesterday. Updated list of events and competition schedules in Japanese.   Padel and Teqball are on the schedules. Looks like two events for Padel and five for Teqball.   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会競技プログラム.pdf   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会デイリースケジュール.pdf   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会セッションスケジュール.pdf   On the sports programme PDF, Padel is #25 and Teqball is #38.
    • looks like the agreement is the international federations are in fact hosting the event, not the AG organizers, so everything is up to them to make it happen.   Teqball is now confirmed to have 5 events (singles and doubles) does it mean easy 5 gold medals for Thailand ?   Padel is not 100% confirmed yet. I assume there are still talks ongoing between the IF and the Japanese organizers.
    • I feel like this year's Eurovision is more wide open than ever 😂   There isn't a clear favorite, and that makes everything more exciting. Finland is looking strong, sure, but Ukraine always knows how to surprise people and connect with them. I was checking out the odds a bit, and I was struck by how quickly they're rising.   By the way, I found a site that compares the odds pretty clearly: https://casasdeapuestaseurovision.com/   It’s nothing special, but it gives you an idea of how things are shaping up before the semifinals. Although we all know how this goes… at Eurovision, everything can change in a matter of minutes
