Brazilian snow sports federation CBDN posted their first mid-season ranking, which confirms two things:

1. The points and tables I've been posting are 100% correct, so that's good

2. As we suddenly realized a few weeks ago and tried to have 100% confirmed: athletes who DON'T have the B criteria (under 300 points) in both sprint and distance, are out of the fight if at least two athletes do have it (as is and will remain the case). This means Mika needs to get her sprint average under 300 points, otherwise her position in the ranking doesn't matter and she's out anyway. It also means that, as of now, the two female tickets are for Jaque and Bruna. Of course there's still races to go, both for Mika to get her sprint average under 300 and for everyone to improve their points.

I do believe I thanked you :d And yeah, that was very helpful...the language seems clear in their document, but you never know :d

At least this is a confirmation we (including you!) were right, which is excellent news for us!

I saw that too. I sent her a message on her Instagram. Maybe I should email the federation instead?

She was registered for and skipped today's freestyle race in Latvia (Madona), and suddenly I see she appeared in Campra in Switzerland today, where it appears she scored an excellent 241 points!

And Baiba Bendika won the race :woohoo:

Calle Halfvarsson and Charlotte Kalla took the last swedish spots in the cross country team.

Anything else would be a big surprise … Especially in the Men‘s team is Halfvarsson by far the best Swedish men at the moment. And also Kalla is safely in the top 8 …

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)
