The next Colombian superkid, Ivan Sosa (20 years old), wins the Vuelta a Burgos, his first .HC win. In doing so, he beat the already old previous Colombian superkid, MA Lopez :d

The ridiculously talented American Adrian Costa (for example 2nd in the Tour of Utah when he was 18) retired earlier this year, due to all kinds of problems (presumably mentally). Now he has lost a big part of his leg in a climbing accident :(

Czech/Dutch (@hckosice) cyclo-cross 1-2 for tiny Corendon-Circus in the 3rd stage of the Arctic Race of Norway

Toupalik hanging on as last surviving member of the lead group, Van der Poel finishing right behind him by dominating the bunch sprint (uphill) but not fast enough to actually catch his teammate, perfect work :d

Meanwhile it's sad to read how incredibly deep Jan Ullrich has been sinking. Alcohol, drugs, more alcohol, a divorce, not seeing his children anymore, more alcohol, drugs, more alcohol, violence...he has completely lost touch with reality. According to a friend, he shoots at his TV with an air rifle when watching an action movie, because he thinks he is part of the action, resulting in him buying 2-3 new TV's per week. He was arrested after a fight with his neighbour recently and more recently he was accused of abusing a prostitute and physically assaulting her.

Apparently he's going for forced rehab now or something like that, but so far he's well on his way to killing himself quickly.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
    • Today : Jordan 3-0 Egypt  This team will surprise us
