Are you sure 3 per country is correct? I'm fairly sure it's not :p

Everything will be fixed once the Official Start list will be unveiled.

Now we have all start lists in your Schedule post in the opening page of the thread, so when the entries will be confirmed I can immediately and easily repair them

Verweij - 36.00

Lorentzen - 34.94 (fastest man)

Yamanaka - 34.95 (but hit a cone, so would be disqualified in a normal race)

Das - 38.8

no, not at all...

it's 3 per NOC in all individual events except for the women's 5000m/men's 10000m and the Mass Start Races, where only 2 athletes per NOC are allowed to start...

and of course there's only 1 team per NOC in the team pursuit (but this is quite obvious)...

Oh, Sven Kramer had a world record (low altitude) in the 3000m earlier this week in Gangneung, and Bergsma was rather fast as well considering 3k is rather short for him. Bloemen was less impressive.

Are there any results of this "test race"?

So far only those reported on Twitter, but I'm hoping someone will take a photo of a printed result or something :p (and eventually it'll be on speedskatingresults I suppose)

@hckosice This is the final start list. :JPN Oshigiri, :USA Manganello, :NED Van der Weijden, :CHN Li are not on the final start list, whereas :KOR Kim is.

Looking at the season so far, there are no clear favorites for this event. The favorites are in the 4 final pairs, though. Many women who can win a medal, so this could be an exciting first speed skating event.

    • It's all hogwash especially in the short attention span generation. Like nobody cares about Free Tibet anymore either. Free Palestine will last a lot longer due to Saudi Arabia becoming a sponsorship force in sports.   Israel is too weak in soccer to qualify from UEFA zone. The only time they qualified was from the Asian zone and they only beat Australia & New Zealand who were complete nobodies in the 1960s. No such luck in the 60 years since.
    • Oh I assure you FIFA dodger a bullet with Israel not qualifying…   But ya that’s kind of the thing, shut up and dribble is a mantra anti LGBT people have used often. I don’t think it’s hypocritical to remind them of their position
    • Ah, yes but that's not how pro athletes are taught in North America these days? Shut up & dribble is xenophobic, racist or whatever? The hypocrisy of some of these policies were exposed during 2022 World Cup already where the Saudis played it smart and waved their own "Free Palestine' slogans. Forget LGBT rights for a moment, how many 'Free Palestine' flags will be waved in 2026? Or will those be confiscated by default? Somehow I feel this won't be met with similar backlash when China clamped down on 'Free Tibet' in 2008 OG. Saudi Arabia is more important to global markets than Iran & Egypt
