Weightlifting IWF World Championships 2017

Recommended Posts

I'm really frustrated , this should have been an easy gold medal in total for us , but this's what u get when you're in a country that doesn't care about sport , she stayed 9 months after Olympics without training to finish her high school last year and join university , because our ministry of education didn't allow her to make her exam after Rio , so she lost a whole year , i'm really sad for Sara , she deserved a much better result , hopefully she can return much stronger than Rio next year

Begaj, Mahmoud and Toma (Gold at 63kg) have all served doping bans :(:(:(

for Mahmoud he won medals in wch 2014 , wch 2015 , Rio 2016 , so he was tested in all the 3 events and he was clean , so i think it was just a mistake in the youth level

To be fair - he only tested positive for a stimulant not a steroid,

Toma and Begaj's cases are much worse

Oh, yeah, Begaj won silver. (not counting the snatch/CJ medals, because in the end the totals are what counts)

Even the full Slovak team here is composed of convicted doper, but well, in other hand it´s mainly because we send only one athlete to Anaheim :p
