Winter Olympic Games Milano Cortina 2026 News

I had not seen anything about this until now, but I see there is no Award Plaza at these Games.  All medals will be presented at the venue, immediately following the event.

Oh wow, seriously? I never dared to dream that would come back but that would be absolutely amazing! :hyper:

There is not a single way of awarding medals that beats giving them right after the event, with the athletes still full of emotion, tired and in the stadium with the people who witnessed their moment of glory!

This would be such amazing news

Awesome news. The victory plaza was a neat experiment but imo medal ceremonies at the venue are a lot more impactful.

Who said hockey players are dumb ? :p

Our guys solved the main issue of the lack of tables in the Olympic village by this splendid invention of covering a clothes dryer  Ingenious isn´t ?

Wait, this is in their accommodation? They have a dryer (and perhaps a washing machine)?!

Cross-country skiers have two beds, a small nightstand next to each, a mirror and a bathroom. What's this luxury where they put the ice hockey players?

Errm, no, a such dryer as the housewives in Vermeer's paintings would be familiar with!  ie a wooden frame across which you can drape your wet linen!

President Mattarella at the canteen with the athletes, as he did in Paris in 2024. Mattarella is a huge sports fan and invites all winners to the Quirinale :lol:Nessuna descrizione disponibile.

I too want unlimited boiled eggs. Or unlimited beef stew. Or unlimited pork sausage. Or unlimited apple cake. Or unlimited ice cream. Or unlimited soda.

Besides Mosaner playing awfully in the first few games, I don’t think a single thing has gone wrong for :ITA so far

Mixed doubles about to start 3-1, alpine and luge teams doing well in training, Matteoli in the final in snowboard big air, probably the favourite for bronze in the figure skating team event with Lara in the form of her life …
