Its been confirmed sliding events will be held outside Italy, presumably Innsbruck

it might be Skt.Moritz...hopefully

even if I'd like more that the whole sliding sports would be cancelled...actually, I'd like the whole 2026 Olympics to be cancelled :zip:

After missing out on 2022 in such a bad way, I'm not sure how I am going to handle the situation here at home if now 2026 would be entirely cancelled.....so no please :p

And sliding sports being cancelled would be awful, I'd much rather see ice hockey or figure skating be cancelled (but much much rather see nothing cancelled obviously). St Moritz seems unlikely I guess, but would be super awesome :d

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

it's between Skt. Moritz and Innsbruck, really

the Austrians asked for at least 15 million € to host the Olympic events, the Swiss would do it for free (just asked to cover the track preparation's fee), but the president of the Swiss federation is a personal enemy of a few people in the organizing committee, so he's trying to go against the chance (while the owners of the track are pushing to settle any personal fight and not miss such kind of opportunity)

it's money vs politics (and personal feuds)

we'll see how it ends

for sure, I only say that I'm ashamed, disgusted and furious...but I'm not gonna add anything else, because if I write what I really think of this whole drama, it might cause me a lot of troubles...so...:zip:

Italian cabinet now want try to host the bob, luge and skeleton events in Cesana.

Should have been plan A from the beginning.. The Cabinet doesn't want to be mocked as the "country that couldn't host their full Olympics". Well better late, than ever.

Nope, Cesana sliding center is a fucking shit. Cortina would be really a dream for our ludge...

  • 1 month later...

I don't know where put this, so :p

After 1 month and 158 events in 14 sports (only luge and ice hockey have still 0 events), 29 NOCs won at last a medal. This week, Ukraine and Australia sign their 1st podium of the winter season.
