I pray that Italy won't host any senior tournaments any time soon. :fingers:

And surprise, Rome will host the opening match of the 2020 Euro ;)

I'm really nervous, I really though we were out but the boys are bringing it today!

Let's get real, Poland was expected to lose three game in these finals. Italy & Belgium simply blew their chances big time.

If Spain wins at least 4:0 and Romania and France draw, then the semifinals will be Spain vs. France and Germany vs. Romania?

the winner of group A will play the qualified runner-up team, unless it comes from the same Gr. A (in that case, they will play against the winners of Group C)...

the other semifinal will be a consequence of that pairing...

therefore Germany could play either the runner-up of group A or the winners of group C (depending on which group qualifies 2 teams), the 1st Gr.A vs 1st Gr.B is the only combination excluded...

3:0 for ESP should already be enough. And ofc GER has to deliver tomorrow vs AUT first!

yes, Spain win the group if they win by 3-goal margin against POL (the exact result doesn't matter)*...

Italy win the group if they beat Belgium and ESP win by 1 or 2 goal margin against POL

Poland win the group if they tie or win the game vs ESP...

*if ITA don't beat BEL, ESP only need to win, the score is not important anymore (by the way,ITA are winning 1-0 vs BEL at halftime)...

Not related to the teams involved - but this is what I don't like on the "direct comparison of the teams involved". Now we have 1. ESP 2. ITA - if BEL and POL had drawn in the first match, the ranking would be 1. ITA 2. ESP.

Yeah, so Germany vs. Romania if Romania draws against France, otherwise Germany vs. France and Spain vs. Romania.

Germany could lose 0:1 against Austria and still win the group ...

    • I think the reason is that it's generally preferable to have a fast shooter in the 1st leg, and especially in the prone shooting, where Hofer is quite slow.   Now, I'm not saying I agree with the choice, because I don't. I think it's going to neutralize Giacomel's skiing skills in the 1st lap at least.   I guess the idea is to try and set a very fast pace in the 1st leg, which is usually quite tactical, but I'm afraid that's going to force Giacomel to risk too much because he will feel he has to make some time somehow.   Regardless, Italy must be on the podium tomorrow. I think that would be crucial for the following races as well. I think France is the clear favorite, but the other teams are not stronger than Italy on paper.
