Sadly :NGR and :GHA will likely not qualify due to new qualification rules in Bobsleigh/Skeleton

:ASA might return through their naturalized skeleton racer.

:NEP and :GUA have CC skiers looking for qualification. The former two just missed out in 2018.

:NGR has a cross country skier with a chance of qualification.

:NEP and :GUA skiers will not be eligible since they didn’t compete at the 2021 U23 or Senior Nordic World Championships.

Apparently :KGZ failing to send cross country skiers to the Olympics isn’t that odd. They’ve actually competed more times in Biathlon (3 appearances), then they have in cross country (2 appearances).

Worth noting that they did send 2 cross country skiers to the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics.

Well, they have a competent skier (Pyeongchang Olympian) who competed multiple times in Kazakhstan this season.

They definitely have skiers who could qualify, they just didn’t show up to the World Champs for whatever reason.

:PAN has a cross country skier (51 years old) trying to qualify

:VIE:CAM have bobsled/skeleton teams training in South Korea. Highly doubtful they qualify, but worth keeping an eye out on.

:TJK has a couple of skiers trying to qualify, not currently in range to do so, however.

He can't qualify anymore. :p

He doesn't have any FIS results though, so besides the qualifying period being over (in terms of gaining quotas), what's he doing? :p

:CPV can be added to the list. Carlos Gerber, who formerly represented :SUI has switched to representing :CPV. He did have a 8th place finish at the Big Air world cup in Quebec City, so does have an outside chance of qualifying.

    • This might be the stupidest thing I’ve ever read and the complaints by Uhlander are ridiculous and unjustified just because the decision benefits Canada and not her and it’ll lessen her odds of making the Olympics    Since when are other countries supposed to look out for you?

    • I will do my best to organise a pairs competition also involving nations from the 4 teams that are eliminated in the first half of the team competition along with the lowest ranked individual nations at the halfway point (end of session 2) to form 8 pairs. Pairs will be balanced so that the highest ranked nation in the competition will be paired with the lowest ranked nation, second highest with the second lowest and so on. All of that will be based on the individual ranking at the halfway point.   This way every nation will have at least interest in some event until the end of the 3rd session.   I will probably base it closely on @mrv86‘s proposed rules, and have sprints every 3 rounds of votes. The pairs with most medals from those 3 rounds get the points along with an extra bonus for medal and points doubles.   I do only have 1 day to organise this now so I can’t promise anything though.
