It looks like Nicolas Mahut is going to lose in the first round for the fourth event in a row (twice in men's doubles and twice in mixed doubles). He was the first seed for three of those, and the second seed the other time. Just incredible.

Well, the Pan Pacific Open tournament is usually held towards the end of September and you can see why playing outdoors in Japan in the summer is a bad idea. Badosa didn't grow up in Spain IIRC so maybe that's why she isn't so used to extreme heat like most other Spanish players. A real shame but hopefully she bounces back during the USO Series.
