my heart's broken...

if only hockey games were scheduled on 58mins40secs and not full 60 mins, Italy would be safe with at least 4 points and Slovakia would be still at 0...

but the truth is that 2 silly mistakes in the last minute or so of 2 different games and an awful PK (by far the worst I've ever seen by our team) are sending Italy back to the Hell of Division IA next year (unless the totally unexpected happens)...

After 22 consecutive years among the elite we will be certainly relegated. this is so sad :(

I can not believe what a mess did happen during last 1-2 years in our hockey, I understand the guys from NHL and some other big names from KHL and european leagues that they are angry about the situation in our federation and have enough of it all, but c´mon. Boycotting the National team is no a solution :( without them we can not have and send a competitive team to any tournament, and the world championships even more..this is not about them this is about the country, about the name of the country, about the prestige and reputation of our hockey! :(.

now probably we will be relegated, a total shame for our hockey, traditions, big names of the past, all legends that played in our colors..I´m really so frustrated about that. maybe not about the result and the play but especially about this whole mess :(

btw anyone saw the video of the legendary czech commentator Robert Zaruba during yesterdays match after CZE equalized the score with Finland he literally broke the technique and it resulted in a huge silence next 2 minutes until he fixed it

    • For me they gave Canada the gold in the relay in exchange for a 1000-meter dsq gold for Dandjinou, that's how I see it. It was a battle between Kor and Can on 2 of this case. It's hard to say why that last dsq for Kor was in relay? Of course, Italy win bronze thanks for that, but that's not really important. It would have been better if the referees had just stayed out of the results and left it as it was decided for fight on the ice.

    • the quata for europe or australia is from the primer 12, where the top 20 teams will participate, sadly  is the 21th team so the only slight chance for us in my opinion is if: we get top 2 at the european championship (not including  hopefully if they get the quata), then somehow win the final qualification tournament against i assume  and one of    the chances for us are slim, i think about 4 other team sports  have a better chance in in my opinion(and the most team sports we ever had was one, and it was the last two time after a long time )

    • well, Cuba and Venezuela for sure...   Iran is a different question, but I hope in 2 years all this war shit is done and dusted and at least in the sports world everything is gonna be OK
    • In my opinion the Italian team has been playing above expectations since last year after several years of decline. Last year, we advanced to the first division at the European Championships and now they're playing very close matches against the strong India and Scotland. We a little miss a potential to do more – we are only 18th in the world rankings. Our men's team's performance in this sport is much weaker.
    • I wonder if all Cuba, Iran and Venezuela will be able to travel and compete in LA at all... Hopefully that yes.
    • There was some initial disappointment at first, but got over it quite quickly.    Happy for  and I hope they can win a medal in LA with their MLB players there!
