The atmosphere is mainly Hydrogen and balloons float, so I’m going D: Helium :dunno:

I'm afraid you will have to come back again for more, the lightest is Hydrogen. It also has the atomic number 1 and it listed as the first element in the top left corner. Also, the atmosphere is almost 80% nitrogen. :dunno:
