Pistej made it to the 1/8 finals :yikes:

He'll be up against the 13-year old sensation of the tournament at 11.15 CET on Table 1, if you want to watch it, streams are here:

I start to watch the last 2 days of the world championship, i'm not a table tennis expert, (well, i don't know nothing about it :p) but it's again an all-chinese competition?

Amazing match between Dima and Koki Niwa, matche will be decided in game 7. Incredibly close match.

Heartbreaking loss for Dima, he never got into his best shape during this tournament. Koki Niwa on the other hand played his best table tennis, japanese table tennis is really taking huge steps forward. Maybe Boll can somehow keep the german colors alive during this tournament ...

In the end everyone who isnt chinese is playing for bronze at best, so no reason to be too sad, Boll and Ovtcharov have won tons of minor medals before. Tomokazu winning a medal is my only wish left, would be so cool to see (the half-chinese japanese player) Tomokazu beating a chinese player. Chinese players and officials are probably already shivering when thinking about the future, this might be their last chance for a very long time to win an individual gold medal on the mens side.

    • With a week to go till the deadline for the world invitational, the rosters look beefy for the discus on both sides.24 entries for the men[19 accepted in so far] and 25 for the women[18 accepted so far] For the men so far there are three 70 meter throwers[i count Denny as that since it's just 4 centimeters off his pb]10 from mid 66 to low 69,three of 65 and over, four from almost 64 to almost 65.On the women's side the 18 accepted throwers all have a pb of over 60 meters.11 of them have  pbs over 64 plus.of the ones still not there besides Valerie and Yaime who have been marketed so i can only assume they will join, such names as  Sandra Elkasevic,Bin Feng, and jordine van klinken aren't signed up yet, jordine's probably the most likely of them to join in tough feng would be a cool surprise,i somehow don't see Sandra doing this, but it would be awesome if she did.Stahl and ceh aren't in yet on the men's side, ceh has been marketed while stahl hasn't been mentioned at all,[pretty sure stahl will not be there],Lukas[last name is too wild for me to even try] and lawrence okoye aren't there yet either but i'm betting both will be joining in.
    • What a shame. That would have been amazing.
    • It's complete American domination in the women's discus rankings so far this year, they occupy the top 4 slots, and the WORST result of those four was achieved at Ramona .Third place currently belongs to Ciera Jackson who had a huge almost 4 METER pr at the west coast relays on friday-64.42[previous best was 60.77 from march of 2023,and she opened her season a week ago with at that time her second best result ever of 60.14]she also had a 63.66 throw to back this new pb up,and finally with her new personal best she took down the school record that stood for 36 YEARS[Btw Valerie Allman actually competed in Ramona on march 30th but conditions were apparently far from ideal and she fouled four times and her best was a 63.61,i don't doubt that in the event that she competes in the  world intational, the conditions will be perfect,i wouldn't be so bold as to say she wouldl get the world record but for sure i think she could get a new personal best.
    • So after finding this this morning     I started to search for more news about the date and ticket prices all over the world web !   I found this then       to just notice later that   it was April fools     so yeah, that was my day
