In women's world cup qualifiers.

On Thursday, Belgium-Armenia 19-0, which has to be the biggest win ever in european world cup qualifiers. I think the previous record was 17-0, which had happened three times. Belgium was leading 11-0 at halftime and despite the score was ''just'' 13-0 at the 78th minute, it ended with six more goals for Belgium.

Italian women struggled against Switzerland, just like their male colleagues. They lost 1-2 at home and Switzerland now has the advantage, in the battle for first place in the group.

They might be only ones there. UEFA will boycott.

If you want to picture how badly corrupted Portuguese football is just check the match that is happening  today.

Benfica is playing Belenenses, who has all of the team except 9 infected with covid.

Do you think the football federation or the health government department postponed the match? Nope!

Belensenses is playing with only 9 players (two of them goalkeepers), and not a single player more, against one of the best teams in the country.

And it's 0-7 at halftime, not entirely surprising. At least there is a goalkeeper available...

    • Yeah, we have such a strong crop of Juniors, that we can’t take them all. They all have exciting trajectories but to predict what Junior swimmers will is always difficult. Better to let them all swim together at Juniors than rocketing them all up to seniors and swimming a prelim and going home.
    • Hanlon is the most unlucky, in my opinion. Aside from relay cover, she's the 50m champ and they made a point of including consideration for those events being in LA for the other discretionary picks. Essentially she has the same case for selection as Max Morgan (albeit without the trajectory right now).   Blocksidge's form was way off this week (compared to her previous bests). Obviously being still young you could put that down to relative inexperience. Still, she has World and European Juniors that she could still be selected for this summer. There's an argument that performing well at those might be as beneficial as going to Singapore.   That said, I'm happy that they did take a bunch of discretionary picks. That's not always been the case.
