dcro 10,189 Posted June 5, 2021 Author #41 Share Posted June 5, 2021 Hugely impressive win for Michael McNally & Eclipto in Millstreet today. His second 4* win of the year. https://live.rechenstelle.de/2021/millstreet_06/leaderboard04.html This puts the Irish selectors in an interesting position. Should they or should they not take a gamble with this new, but promising combination? #banbestmen
dcro 10,189 Posted June 12, 2021 Author #42 Share Posted June 12, 2021 As expected, the British eventing selection-observation event in Bicton is quickly turning into a total bloodbath. Athletes must be losing their minds, as something as simple as having one rail down in show jumping can make all the difference between staying at home and going to the Olympics. Specifically, Piggy March and Laura Collett had an unexpected error. Are they out now?? Who can tell. https://www.eventingscores.co.uk/Events/event.php?eventid=1183#C #banbestmen
dcro 10,189 Posted June 13, 2021 Author #43 Share Posted June 13, 2021 Run-out for Padraig McCarthy & Leonidas in Bicton... Most likely no Olympics for the World silver medalist (individual+team)... That is, unless those silver medals give him a benefit of the doubt, but the doubt here is pretty big. #banbestmen
dcro 10,189 Posted June 15, 2021 Author #44 Share Posted June 15, 2021 This week, Luhmuhlen is hosting the last CCI5* eventing competition before the Olympics. Riders from will participate. A lot of late withdrawals from the UK after Germany imposed new travel restrictions. Those restrictions were later lifted, but too late. https://tgl.luhmuehlen.de/en/competitors/nominated-entries.html #banbestmen
dcro 10,189 Posted June 19, 2021 Author #45 Share Posted June 19, 2021 Cross-country carnage in Luhmuhlen. The leader after a third of a way in - Aistis Vitkauskas. #banbestmen
dcro 10,189 Posted August 13, 2021 Author #46 Share Posted August 13, 2021 Here we are, European Championships for Olympic disciplines will be held in a matter of weeks in September. They will be hosted by Hagen (dressage), Riesenbeck (jumping) and Avenches (eventing). It's really unusual to have two major, season-concluding championships in one year, but there you go. Nations who failed to qualify teams/individuals for Tokyo insisted on holding these events, and it seems like a lot of big nations are interested as well and will be attending in full force. Should be interesting. #banbestmen

Should be interesting. Sweden will only send 1/6th of the gold medal winning jumping team from Tokyo. Fredriksson will be there but with another horse. But he win with this other borde in the Global Champions Tour yesterday so I guess it is a decent horse as well
