so 12th, well, not so bad, I expected worse. but in other hand, we weren´t so far from the top 10. In overall those world champs are a total debacle for us. we didn´t reached any one of our goals. but we have 2 medals from European Champs so the season will be evaluated as successfull

Thanks god Nastya is back.. looking forward for the next season

In general very disappointing results. No individual medals for Gabi, Hildebrand, Preuß, J. Boe, Schempp and Shipulin. Thank god there are world championships every year, so that most results will be reversed next year. Gabi, Dorothea, Hildebrand and Kaisa deserved clearly better here.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

MAKARAINEN :FIN:clap: Yes! I'm so happy for her :yes Brilliant World Championships for Marie Dorin-Habert and Laura Dahlmeier, huge congratulations to the both of them and I think they both deserve as much praise as Fourcade, because the women's tour this year is extremely competitive.

Marie Dorin might just assume her new staus from now. Dahlmeier not so toasted after all. Very glad For Makarienen.

Next year, women's tour will be glorious.

Definitely true! As a big Dahlmeier-fan I can be nothing else but very, very happy with these World Championships :cheer:

Especially the way she stayed with Makarainen on today's uphills was impressive.

    • There is a transgender volleyball player here in Brazil; there was even a recent controversy (this year) when a city banned her from playing in a certain competition, which ended up in court, ultimately in her favor.   But the situation is much simpler than that; the reason for this decision is because of the two female boxers who won at Paris 2024 (who apparently are not transgender).

    • there were rumors about it for quite a while, but as I wrote, it was never confirmed so, it might well be just some haters throwing out some shit on her 🤷
    • Where did you get that?   I'm not sure I would have considered her to have dissapeared from out of nowhere, at least since after Tokyo... she did win medals at the next two World Championships. I think it's just recently, she's been struggling with injury which is why she's completely out of form...
    • Even though I'm not the biggest fan of her, always sucks to see a career ending through injury and not on your own terms
    • This is going to have an effect on very likely 0 athletes, possibly 1 or 2 we don't really know about yet. It's really mostly the cheapest possible way for them to make a sort of political statement, without having any significant backlash since it won't really affect anyone at the top level of international sports.   Edit: worded a bit wrong, I was thrown off by everywhere 'trans women' being mentioned as the target of this. Of course there is also the somewhat larger category of DSD and the likes, which will certainly affect a few athletes - unfortunately they are often thrown under the bus or mentioned as 'not really women anyway' or something like that, despite, you know, being.

    • People focus on trans people because it's easier to pinpoint the affected athletes. Meanwhile it's the athletes with (suspected) DSDs that will have tougher time to convince the authorities and the public opinion that they belong to women's sports.
