Dunadan 1,103 Posted October 13, 2020 #111 Share Posted October 13, 2020 Indeed, races should only be held in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, all almost covid free thanks to their self-disciplines. Let's just scrap races in this mafia driven country , I'm boycotting them and watching Paris-Roubaix dcro
Grassmarket 2,841 Posted October 13, 2020 #112 Share Posted October 13, 2020 Looks like the peloton have not given this one up. Lots of short steep climbs to come. 36k to go.
Grassmarket 2,841 Posted October 13, 2020 #113 Share Posted October 13, 2020 Peloton definitely think this is not going much further - all action now. Little-known Slovenian Slovakian Giro debutant Peter Sagan chasing a breakaway win. !!! Fuglsang the big loser, loses lots of time after a late puncture & bike change. Federer91 2,212 Posted October 13, 2020 #115 Share Posted October 13, 2020 Well, if you can't beat them on the sprints, do it on the climbs hckošice
heywoodu 13,663 Posted October 14, 2020 #116 Share Posted October 14, 2020 I've seen a lot of Sagan wins, obviously, but holy cow this was one of his very best bits of cycling ever. Maybe Vlaanderen 2016 is above it, but that's about it. What a ride. hckošice 1 If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! heywoodu 13,663 Posted October 14, 2020 #117 Share Posted October 14, 2020 @Gianlu33 @Dunadan Any idea what's up with the train driving next to the peloton? They have to work around that. #banbestmen

Oh I'm enjoying the marvelous commentary of Karsten Kroon and his co-host, the first 60km today was a mix of talking about this train and about which Dutch cookie they'd get in their snack bag today - the other co-host is Belgian and doesn't know most of them, apparently. Also, the Belgian guy said it was good Kroon's newborn baby has her mom's eyes, "because they are so beautiful", leading to a nice bit of awkwardness.
