That’s too bad for @Dragon. I can try and ask around if you want @Dragon?

Might have to ask my contacts at the IOC

Damn, that’s a flex. I’m sorry. I honored that you asked us peasants first.

It's a quite long, but nevertherless, interesting article about the real cost of YOG 2018.

Very interesting read, but my heart broke when I learned that Ernesto Rodrigues III died last year. He compiled a book with the results of the South American Games, as well as the Pan Am Games and the Olympic Games, but the one about the SA Games remain the only credible source of historical results for the competition. He even distributed it for free. I e-mailed him once and he replied with enthusiasm about his book. Oh, man. Life is unfair. He will be missed.

Where could one find such a literary masterpiece? :p I’d be interested in those books for sure.

Not sure about the ones about the Pan Ams and the Olympics, but here is the one about the South American Games.

There's one (not from Rodriguez, though) about the CAC Games with results from 1926 to 2010. I think you would like to read it too. You can download it here.

Incredible resources for my reporting and archiving, thank you very much for sharing his works. I’m so glad other people have a deep passion for this stuff too. Terrible shame to hear of his passing.

    • Atalanta is probably playing the most beautiful football in Europe right now: spectacular and effective. It's nice to watch and they don't have to spend a lot of money for it.   Inter is playing very economically. It's not impressive but it's consistently collecting points. It's also the only team in the Champions League that hasn't conceded a goal this season.   Milan played very poorly yesterday but they won. They have 9 points and are close to qualifying for the play-offs.

    • Unfortunate, but it doesn't change the fact that I'm looking forward to Thursday evening, when the team captain's meeting is over and we have our very first World Cup start list of the season. Always a cool moment to see who's there and everything
    • Today I unpacked some of the boxes in which we have put my way too many books to move to our house, and I came across these beauty's I hadn't seen for a while     Absolutely recommended, tough to get for a decent price, but they are such an interesting read with lots of very interesting little stories! Still looking for at least 1900, 1904 and 1906, but not really in the right moment to spend money on that now, so the wait goes on
