The lack of fans is something i have mentioned and observed for a couple of years now. And it relates to the whole of Scandinavia (with some exceptions here and there, like Lahti last week). Whatever snow sport i watch in Scandinavia, it's always jarring how there are barely any fans, when compared to starts in Continental Europe.

 

I don't know what is the reason, but it feels like people there have started taking skiing for granted and something that's an everyday thing and not a special sporting event. And they know their starts aren't going anywhere, because of history, climate situation and necessity.
