gotta say that this new track has absolutely nothing of the old one, it's just one more state-of-the-art modern slide

not a surprise that the Germans look unbeatable also here, as except for the first 4 curves, it's only about the sleds rather than the drivers, especially the final stint with almost flat profile

tbh, I was hoping for a way more tricky track

our only chance is the weather

if in February the temperature goes down to -10 and below, then, the rest of the world has a little chance that the German sleds might have a few troubles, otherwise just prepare yourself to listen to "Deutschland uber alles" almost every day

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I feel all the bobsleds should be the same. They did it with the women's monobob in 2022 and from a spectator point of view it looked as if the best drivers performed the best.

I completely agree and I honestly find bobsleigh to be a complete joke these days. It's more of an engineering than driving competition these days.

It's not a coincidence that Germany only has one or sometimes two athletes on the women's monobob podium (which use standardized bobsleds) but always sweep the two-woman podium.

I don't think it's an unpopular opinion (well, maybe in Germany, yes)

however, I agree at 110%

No I think this is a very popular opinion for everyone other than the Germans.

And the Germans take all 4 gold medals.  The USA nabbed three medals, and :AUS and :KOR each nabbed one bronze.

    • Shades of 1998 with  and  in the same group but this time it's really a terrible draw for the Thistles. I recall Brazil and Scotland played in the same group in 1974 and 1990 too so that's quite a high probabiliy rate.

    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
    • Belgium is the luckiest in this story
    • One of the worst possible draw for us. Group really easy but having to face  or  in the Round of 32 is devastating.
