They have announce that basically they will do nothing from my understanding, its not event a sport we are irrelevant,  we have a team in both genders and a 2 times olympic medalist

Its ridiculous that it is happening

I'm not opposed to International federations banning Israel (though *now*, of all times over the past couple years, seems a little suspect), but host countries absolutely should not get to pick and chose which countries get to compete in events they host.

I remember when our players of Tennis table didnt get their visa to participate in canada ...the same thing is happening here , it's legal

It is indeed a problem more widely in world sports, and it bothers me in those situations too.

Yep... :USA couldn't/didn't want to play in :CUB as part of the FIBA AmeriCup qualifiers, and :CUB was granted win by forfeit.

And the opposite was also true... :CUB women volleyball couldn't get visas to play in :PUR (a territory of :USA) for the NORCECA W Final 4 tourney, thus other teams participated.

    • Yes, but Geiger and Wellinger have both achieved some success in major events, while Paschke hasn't. Geiger certainly has a better chance in Cortina than Paschke at now, but it has to be the his decision to withdraw and give a chance to his team- mate. Otherwise, it wouldn't be fair to him. I don't think Horngacher will force him to withdraw.
