Thank you, the TISC tactic

First ever Olympic title for the French men's relay

Couldn't watch the race because I'm at work, could only follow via the IBU app, but how did Norway not win this though? I guess the French had better skis?

The French surely had better skis, like in most of the Games, but a decisive turn came when Botn had a horrendous leg, and namely a terrible prone shooting session.

Claude lost roughly 45-50 seconds in the first leg, and by the end of the 1st shooting, when he used all three spare rounds, session Botn was already behind Jacquelin (who had an insane first lap, to be honest).

I have to agree with you on this one. In the very first lap, I saw Braunhofer lose contact with the rest of the field in a downhill and overtaken by everyone in the vicinity, and I knew what was coming.

At this point, we have struggled with different temperatures and different weather conditions. The only day in which we had acceptable equipment was on Sunday, and even then, Vittozzi seemed to lose time in the downhills, based on intermediate times. Today, with all teams starting together, it was clear our equipment was not just slower than France's rockets — it was the absolute worst of the pack.

In Tesero, the cross-country skiing technical staff got everything wrong on the first day, but they fixed things in the following days when the conditions changed. In Antholz, it looks like they have absolutely zero clues on how to make the skis at least acceptable.

Today was cold day- the coldest day since the Games began. Hopefully, they'll learn their lesson before tomorrow, because there's a better chance of a medal there than today. I don't understand how they can be so bad with their equipment at home? They should have the best weather information here.

I don't even expect them to have an advantage because other teams have enough resources to find solutions in all sorts of conditions, but I would at least expect them not to provide the athletes with the absolute worst equipment on the track, bar none.
