You shouldn't complain anyway. Back then, in short track, Holland didn't matter at all in the world, even in Europe they were weak. Go back to 2006... In Europe there was Radanova, Italians and nothing, and the world was even further ahead.

Am I complaining? I just wish she comes back to shorttrack, because in speedskating she won't medal (or even qualify) in speedskating.

Fontana also has no chance in speed skating but she compete there. I don't know for what purpose? By doing so, she limits her chances in short track even more, which are currently small. I can't believe she doesn't want to win a medal after 20 years at home.

6 out of 9 gold for Canada, and the three events without the gold, Canada won silver. I hope this is replicated next year but it will be very difficult.

The Hungarian movement died after the Liu started competing for China. It is now at an all-time low, although something is moving among the juniors

In 2023 the Dutch team won 5 world titles, in 2024 and 2025 only one.

    • That was known from the start for  and will be planned for.   Sadly just the reality of sports in North America. Canada and the US are both huge, a flight from Vancouver to Halifax or from Seattle to Miami is north of five hours. Every sports league in North America has to deal with this kind of travel logistics on the regular, so none of this will seem particularly unusual to a North American player.
    • That’s not a long distance, it’s barely a 2h flight and there is no difference in timezone. Easily doable for fans as well.

    • That's so they can play in both venues in Canada.  Will mean that the UEFA Path A winner has to go from Toronto to Los Angeles and then up to Seattle.   Someone was bound to draw the short straw in that group since 4 of the matches are Central, but 2 are in Santa Clara.  Unfortunately, that's Algeria.
