:ITA will take on :SCO for the final spot. I'm just getting ready to go to the stadium for the match. Maybe you see me on TV.

Massive crowd for the final game between :IND :ENG

:IND had a better possession but conversion rate was pretty poor within the circle leading to a narrow loss.

It was the first international hockey match in Hyderabad since 2003. The stadium had been left unused.

Recently it got a makeover, increased seating, new astroturf, floodlights, dressing rooms and gpo painted. It had the old turfs in a bad condition until few months ago when I went. Sergio Pagni, India's compound archery coach was then guiding young archers. Bushes had grown on some part of the stadium, the cement seating had been damaged and a significant part of old turf had worn out making it non usable for hockey.

A lot of people I met during the tournament here especially those in 30s 40s were confused with the quarter system and were asking when did it become quarter.. wasn't it two halves of 35 mins each... Hockey used to be popular once but after 2000s it has gone on decline and post 2010s it's been an exponential decline with the rise of T20 Cricket and IPL.

In my opinion the Italian team has been playing above expectations since last year after several years of decline. Last year, we advanced to the first division at the European Championships and now they're playing very close matches against the strong India and Scotland. We a little miss a potential to do more – we are only 18th in the world rankings. Our men's team's performance in this sport is much weaker.

at the olympic games

There are indeed 3 groups of 3 countries? With playoffs?

I believe it will be more like last time. 6 team 2 groups. Top 4 in each group to QF.

    • There are things I find pathetic, but saying a competition is unnecessary right after you don't qualify for it is the typical display of a loser. Pietro Maschio, when Conegliano qualifies for the Club World Cup next time, should refuse to participate like the Polish clubs do and stop spouting nonsense.

    • Never wanted something to be more wrong then I did now... synchronized skating and no ice cross    And of course we'll probably win the gold medal in it because it's a sport that I hate, the same thing happened with "breaking" aka breakdancing in 2024.
    • No surprise — it’s the result of months of controversy, including media backlash. It all started with the federation’s decision not to select Romei, who is very close to Costantini, for the Olympic Games, and to call up Rebecca Mariani instead. In recent months, the Romeo/Costantini duo allegedly tried to push out Lo Deserto as well, and these are the results…
