I've once made a list of 'worst Olympic countries ever' (of course you can't say that as a fact, so it is based on opinion together with numbers) and Bangladesh ended up on top (or bottom, however you look at it) :p

Followed by Bolivia, btw. If you look at population-to-sport success ratio alone, China is also awful, they should win a majority of all Olympic medals with their population, but that's of course not the only thing that matters :p

India at least does have some success in some sports, here and there. To compare them with Bangladesh is a bit unfair: look at the Asian Games alone, 183 golds vs....well, 1.

:BOL and :PAR are the weakest South American nations in all of sports. I'm not sure about the latter but Bolivia is probably the poorest country on the continent. Maybe @hoversaBRor @LuizGuilhermecan elaborate on that.

Steeple final has split into two groups: first group is technically absolutely awful at hurdling, but very fast, second group is technically very good, but slower :p

I'm curious what you had expected at this stage in the championships, other than a medal that's already been won? :p

We only had two medal chances in this tournament, and that was clear from the start.

But that doesn't justify athletes performing at their worst possible level at the world championships.

It's in the 100m, where several of our athletes have run under 10 seconds this year, but in this tournament, they're running an incredible 10.54 seconds. It's in the pole vault, where the athlete breaks all personal records this year, only to fail to clear 4.45 in the final. It's in the javelin, where the athlete is second in the world rankings, easily over 85 meters in every championship he competes in, but at the world championships, his best is 81 meters? And these are just examples...

Yeah, Bolivia is really a true one-sport nation. They have one gold medal more than Paraguay at the Pan-Ams, actually, but....

Spoiler

What was all this

Imagine the level of this event if all of these Kenyans, Ugandans and so on actually learn some basic hurdling technique.
