So in the main broadcast they've got 30+ minutes between the race walk finishes and the start of the second discus group...and still they miss the discus

Piotr Małachowski calling technical errors from Craft compared to Allman aka the rotation sequence is too fast which impacts the actual throw in a negative way.

 

Then he goes retro and says "remember when female discus throwers where 1.90m and weighed 100 kilo?"

I agree stadium finishes are exciting, but if you have an iconic landmark in your host city, let's see it at the finish!

The problem is those landmarks are usually used for other events - more visible than niche race walking

 

The cool idea was the Athens 2004 shot put but I'm out on the street finishes in race walking
