Given that LA 2028 is going to be mid-July, I think it would be good to slot the European Championships in mid/late August. This way many more top names would consider participating, especially if they have had a subpar Olympics.

 

But their "genius" move like usual is to have it in June, where most people will skip it, as to not jeopardize their form/health before LA.

To be honest, the Euros have pitched themselves since 2012 as a moment to get Q times for the Olympics - I don't think it helps - much better to be an event for Olympians to either bask in their glory, or save their disappointing season - sure some, maybe even quite a few will skip it - but they are skipping it now anyway

She is very brave and it is exciting but suprising. Finally mcLauglin have her the chansen till dominate 400h and then she does this 😱
