Off-topic, but people should try Brave browser, if they haven't. It automatically blocks adds (and those cookies pop-ups) without the need to install an ad blocker. It works on YouTube as well and you can listen to it even with on a locked phone.

Brave used to be good, but most sites are able to detect it now.

This is part of what I mean when talking about the English-language generic commentators one often hears :d

Kimuanga. I get that commentators in different languages don't pronounce names correctly, that's fine and understandable, logical even. However, pronouncing this is 'Kimunagua'? At the very least the syllables are readable, no? Ki-mu-an-ga, something like that, where does he come up with 'Ki-mu-na-gua'? :d

Minor annoyance, alright, time to watch :p

it might be that they're (at least partially) dyslexic

I've read that a good part of the people whose native language is pronounced different from the written form develop (when they grew up as kids with) such kind of problems :mumble::dunno:

and English is the best example of that

I don't think many people even in Poland expected a silver medal in the mixed 4x400 relay :p

To be fair, do many people in Poland really follow international U20 athletics (so not just home athletes, since you can't really estimate chances if only following one country's athletes) that much? :p

I know except for a few die hard athletics fans nobody here does :d

Nope, junior sport in general is obscure in Poland. I'm not that familiar with all the top names in junior athletics myself even though it tends to be unpredictable almost by default.

Yeah, a few Dutch athletes have appeared in the first two days and so far I had heard of literally only one (Yannick Rolvink in the shot put) and that was because earlier this year - at the FBK Games meet in Hengelo - I clicked on the wrong shot put result (national instead of international), saw his name and thought "huh, that sounds like a famous Dutch singer" :p

Other than that...no idea.

I think Poland getting a silver wasn't a surprise to anyone, compared to the Nation, that actually won the relay, which was..... Australia :p
