That would be the most ridiculous tiebreaker in history. Both times are set during the qualification period. Well, hopefully the Dutch Federation already has approached some lawyers for this insane situation. Or run a sub 38.30 in Geneve Josh

Ask Giovanni Evangelisti and Sandro Donati how to do it... Hard to say, strange thing is that all the metrics haven't been seen on TV during this jump

It's only done for TV audience comfort of viewing but isn't required by the WA rules. Apparently Campaore's 16.72 qualifying jump was initially measured as being below 14 meters so there comes a moment when the accusations are getting out of hand. And since everyone wants technology to decide everything the old "stick & tape" measurement ain't coming back to athletics any which way.

avlar 295 Posted June 13 #1030 Share Posted June 13 I have some comments from our triple-jumpers. They said that this secror was very specific in Rome. It was situated at the special podium above all the other sectors of competitions. This podium has a basement made of wood. Thus it springs you much more than usual jumping sector. But the resonation can either help you a lot or almost stop you. So I would not expect these results to be reproduced later this season. phelps and Monzanator 1
