Lindemann with a sprint finish to give  the Gold. She looked absolutely exhausted . Mixed team event is a good addition to the sports programme. Even in Tokyo it was a close race.

 Knibb must be regretting giving Lindemann a free lift on the bike leg - she really should have gone past her right off.
