To be fair Wilde had no option but to break his tactics up because he knew he could never win using the conventional wait’n’hope.

He spent 30 seconds longer than Yee in the strong currents of the Seine and then had to work hard to catch up on the bike. With all that extra energy expended I guess he had nothing left in the tank.

Apparently, a Canadian triathlete vomited 10 times (10!) after the race. Several athletes reportedly had physical problems.

Recently I saw a sports climber vomit right after finishing his World Cup and he definitely didn't dive into any waste-filled river right before it.
