I love it when federations decide for us which matches are and aren't interesting /sarcasm One step closer to that Super League thingy where we'd get a billion Real Madrid - Manchester United, Manchester City - Bayern Munich and so on during the season. A season full of only big and special matches, meaning none of them are big and special anymore -
The main rationale behind the format change is reducing the number of uninteresting/unimportant matches and avoiding "rigging" results and fixing matches, which will obviously never happen. -
Alright, that's good at least, it'd be super weird to have Champions League, Europa League and Conference League all on the same day (and awful for the latter two). The overall format remains godawful though, but let's see how it goes. It's not like we'll go back to regular group stages anymore now that this genie is out of the bottle.

Only matchday 1 has matches on Thursday and we don't have Europa League that night. The start of the EL is the week after. -

Yeah I was watching the match, they could be in the final though, they just threw away a 5pts lead in the 2nd set (after winning the 1st) in the semifinal yesterday but still bronze is a great result. beach volley isn't much active here -
Phenomenal season end in the Formula 3 championship, where Leonardo Fornaroli took the title with the most important overtake of his life in the very last turn of the very last lap of the season at Monza Meguetounif won the race, ahead of Gabriele Mini and Fornaroli. Fornaroli entered the last turn in 4th, but overtook Christian Mansell, and that way got enough points to stay a tiny bit ahead of Mini.

I think through it showed why the Olympics opening ceremony changed it up as it does drag by the end.
