Do you know when Lizzie Bird last ran as she was out injured for most if not all of last season?

She competed earlier this month on the road - I think she did the Boston mile a couple of weeks ago and did the 5k event at the Paris marathon at the start of April but her last track race was probably in July last year.

Texas Results

M LJ Jacob Fincham-Dukes equals his PB with 8.08 but it's not a legal wind then comes back in the last round to win the event with a legal wind PB of 8.20

W200 Dina Asher-Smith looks fantastic with an easy win in 22.29

Both bits of news are very promising. Dina has been looking more like her old self in the early season … 22.29 is a solid marker in April to be putting down.

Curious to see what Amber can do this weekend.

Jade O'Dowda's quest to get the OQS in the heptathlon takes a bit of a knock after a 13.87 in the 100m hurdles. She's looks to be in great form but was running into a 2.8m/s headwind. It's difficult to see how she can get the standard now without PBing in a couple of events.

Daryll Neita just won the Diamond League 200 in 22.6

Conditions in Brescia seem to be getting worse. O'Dowda manages just 1.74m in the high jump. The OQS drifts further out of reach but she is still in with shout of hitting UKA standard.

Also a fine PB in the 5000m 14:43 for Megan Keith, up to fifth in the UK all time list.

Gives her the OQS - wonder if she will want to double up in Paris.

    • It's all hogwash especially in the short attention span generation. Like nobody cares about Free Tibet anymore either. Free Palestine will last a lot longer due to Saudi Arabia becoming a sponsorship force in sports.   Israel is too weak in soccer to qualify from UEFA zone. The only time they qualified was from the Asian zone and they only beat Australia & New Zealand who were complete nobodies in the 1960s. No such luck in the 60 years since.
    • Oh I assure you FIFA dodger a bullet with Israel not qualifying…   But ya that’s kind of the thing, shut up and dribble is a mantra anti LGBT people have used often. I don’t think it’s hypocritical to remind them of their position
    • Ah, yes but that's not how pro athletes are taught in North America these days? Shut up & dribble is xenophobic, racist or whatever? The hypocrisy of some of these policies were exposed during 2022 World Cup already where the Saudis played it smart and waved their own "Free Palestine' slogans. Forget LGBT rights for a moment, how many 'Free Palestine' flags will be waved in 2026? Or will those be confiscated by default? Somehow I feel this won't be met with similar backlash when China clamped down on 'Free Tibet' in 2008 OG. Saudi Arabia is more important to global markets than Iran & Egypt
