Unfortunately, it's just outside of both the Olympic qualifying standard (12.77) and the UK Athletics time (12.80) but it bodes well for the rest of the season. She should be able to hit that at some point.
Rafa Maciel 1,594 Posted April 6 Author #62 Share Posted April 6 Decathlete Jack Turner was due to compete at Arkansas Spring Invitational this weekend: 110m Hurdles: 14.22 Discus: 45.23m - I think this is a 30cm+ PB but don't quote me on that. Rafa Maciel 1,594 Posted April 6 Author #65 Share Posted April 6 Who'd have thought that the first athlete to get an Olympic standard inside UK Athletics "form window" would be a field athlete? and a too Orangehair43

It looks like nobody is there at all.
Rafa Maciel 1,594 Posted April 6 Author #67 Share Posted April 6 Amber Anning clocks 22.47 for 200m in Arkansas. Don't think it will stand as an Olympic qualifier though - I think the wind reading was +7.

Rafa Maciel 1,594 Posted April 7 Author #69 Share Posted April 7 With the outdoor season having kicked off and the "current form" window for UK Athletics now open, I thought I'd share this for those who are interested. This is the athlete long-list that I think our ultimate Olympic squad will come from. Needless to say, I don't think all or even the majority of them will be selected and some of them may not even compete this year due to injury, but these are the athletes whose performances I am going to try and track over the next few weeks/months heading into trials (although I am always happy to accommodate a few breakout performances). Athletics 24.xlsx 69.31 kB · 0 downloads A good list. One name that you've missed that I'd be tempted to add is Nick Miller in the hammer - his health is questionable but if he gets back competing at all this summer you would expect him to be in the top 5 in GB easily. Aside from that, the only quibble I would have is maybe tracking a few more juniors who could make the breakouts that you talk about - the likes of Phoebe Gill or Nia Wedderburn-Goodison could easily come on leaps and bounds this year.
