For something like badminton though, I do still hope for the full-day stream instead of single matches which will lead to spoilers if you want to watch one later :d

Well, as I said for the Rugby Sevens tomorrow it looks like you have the a choice of the drip-feed of individual matches selected via the Discovery portal, or the whole epic all-day single session if you select via the Eurosport 2 portal.

In addition, their pop-ups Internet channels Eurosport 3 to 9 will be created especially during the games, which will be available on the Max streaming service

Does it means that all Max users everywhere in Europe will have these Eurosport from 3 to 9 channels

some channels will start already tomorrow (that one dedicated to Football, of course), at least here in Italy (I'm talking of the various platforms outside Discovery+/Max, however...but I think it will be the same on the main app and all around Europe)

One good thing :) I notice about the Paris 2024 Discovery Plus today.   They have a single "Coming up Next" reel, which shows ALL upcoming events, ie all the various sports mixed together, in strictly chronological order.  So if you're looking for something live to watch in your coffee break, there you are.

BUT the annoying thing :hyper: is that there is no form of "Click to save to watch later" feature - ie once you decide want to watch the :AND v :LCA Rugby Sevens match, you can't just tap on it and put it aside for later, you just have to remember that it started at 14:23 on Friday.  Although on PC you can save it as a standard bookmark, doesn't seem to be possible on an Ipad.

Also, I notice that the match-ups in the early badminton draws are now incorporated onto the streams, somebody was asking about that somewhere, can't remember where or when.

I have France TV - 2, 3, 4, 5 in my Canal+ packet. Wonder what they're gonna show apart from live sport. Should be some interesting content here.

    • How wonderful!   I met the national rowing (and beach rowing) coach of EST/LTU/LAT on the way to ice hockey one day, who's Canadian by the way. I also flew home on the same flight as JC Schoonmaker's mom and friends, so we chatted for a bit.
    • Yea I only used transit besides this Uber / bus to the airport and back. All the venues were at the end of the line, so it allowed you to speak with other fans/volunteers etc. I even met Corrine Stoddard's mom after the first session of short track on the way back, and told her to remember our conversation if she won a medal later in the Olympics. We know how that ended up...
    • I used public transit the entire time I was in Milan.   My first day was a doozy, because I had to two flights to reach Malpensa, and then the train into town was delayed, and then I got confused a station and boarded a tram instead of the metro, proceeded to travel in the wrong direction, got off, walked back to the station, found the metro, got off a station early, walked around a kilometer to my hotel, and checked in.   My colleagues mostly took cabs upon arrival, but I deduced to take the frugal approach. That said, I was a true public transit professional by the time I left Milan.   I actually enjoyed my rides to and from venues, because I'd just chat up fans and volunteers from different countries. It helped me learn more about the city too.
    • It's the olympics, sleep is for the weak!    The first day i got there i was on a 12 hour flight from l.a to rome (flight that left mid day), lay over, another flight to milan, uber to hotel, then right away to speed skating (1500m men), then after uber to hockey venue for women's gold final, then after the celebrations uber to the hotel, i ended up being awake about 36 hours that day, the next morning i thought to go sightseeing in the center of milan, but ended up sleeping until like 2pm..... and had speed skating/short track that night
