Elite 16 is back in action, as Hamburg hosts the current stop! :cheer: (first match ended just now)

Bit of a watered down field with the Olympics having just finished, but there’s still some quality teams.

Where would one go about watching this? Only FIVB's own pay channel?

Edit: apparently Viaplay has the rights here. We have that :d

Although I see there's almost literally under 10 people in the stands...quite a different feeling than the beach volleyball of last week and the weeks before :p

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Danke :GER Laura Ludwig!

One of the all-time greats of beach volleyball, what a career she’s had. Olympic gold at Rio 2016, World Championships silver at Vienna 2017, various World Tour, Beach Pro Tour, and European Championships medals, and has revolutionized the game with creating plays like “the Ludwig”

Even though it’s her last international tournament, and her last with Lippmann, she still has one last tournament before she officially retires, as from September 5-8 she’ll be competing at the Queen & King of the Court with Katja Stam in Utrecht!

    • I feel like  should be disqualified, they aren’t a real LATAM country. This is an obvious competitive advantage.   Hopefully the media will pick up on this outrageous anti-Latino discrimination.
    • 25 year old McCartney Kessler - a former NCAA product - who only made Top 100 two weeks ago wins her first WTA title in Cleveland over Beatriz Haddad Maia. Kessler hasn't won a WTA tour match in her entire career before this week (one win at Australian Open which is ITF event). She also won Landisville 100k which earned her a MD wild card to US Open where she plays Marta Kostyuk in R1.
