What happened to Zaychikov's third lift that made it 420

What was wrong with it?

As now we come across the world
To share these Games of old
Let all the flags of every land
In brotherhood unfold

Well, our coach made a big jump from 220 to 231 to win a bronze here, considering there is a Kazakh weightlifter on the podium , finishing 4th wasn't a bad result, who knows maybe in 4 years after the re-testing he could win a medal ! :d

What was wrong with Iranian guy today? He completely ignored call for 2nd attempt and did not event went to stage and on his 3rd attempt it did not even looked that he even tried to lift it..

That was a mistake by our genius coach, they knew even lifting 230kg won't put him in medal position, so they decided to not waste his energy on it, instead he tried his very last chance for 231. lifting 230 could put him on 4th position though.

you can change your attempts only twice and they already did that for his 2nd attempts, first to 225 and then to 230. so it was impossible to change that to 231.

    • I wonder where Romania thinks they got their second quota from then. And no reallocations at all would suggest Germany pulled back their turd, as we'd so eloquently say in Dutch, and did take them all at the end..

    • She was selected because she had enough good results that could compete in all events but had a little less FIS points than Sawicka, additionaly Sawicka's father was mad of that and he make intervention in our skiing national federation, due to this Komorowska gets very negative comments and she decided to withdraw because she couldnt handle it and said that her mental health is more important than Olympics participation.
    • and now when it is official and they already cnfirmed it, they are so scared that they still did not anounce it to the general public yet
