Canoe Polo World Championships are coming to the end. If i'm not mistaken this countries should get quotas:

 

Men

:FRA:GER:DEN:GBR:ITA:ESP:TPE

:CHN

 

Women

:NZL:ITA:NED:IRI(:yikes:) :ESP:GER

:CHN Last spot should be decided between :DEN and :GBR in match for 7th place.

The IFA Women's Fistball World Championships just concluded and here is who should be going to Chengdu

 

1. :BRA (2024 World Champion - PAFA)

2. :GER (2nd place 2024 WWC - EFA)

3. :SUI (3rd place 2024 WWC - EFA)

4. :AUT (EFA #3)

5. :CHI (PAFA #2)

6. :ARG (PAFA #3)

7. :NZL (Oceania Quota)

Host: :CHN (Asia Quota)

 

Men's Qualification should wrap up this week following the completion of the Pan American Games, however, here is what it is looking like. Top 4 from 2023 MWC automatically qualify for Chengdu. With China receiving the host quota it automatically reaches the IFA's 3 continent mandate.

2. :SUI (2nd Place 2023 WC - EFA)

:CAM:MYA were allocated their first quotas in dragon boat according to the IWGA's qualifications page.

 

:LAT got a quota in flying disc (disc golf).

:FRA Stanley Odin, who won bronze medal at this years Powerlifting Classic World Championships in +120kg category passed away. He was 26.

A few updates from the IFA after last month's Board of Directors meeting.

 

Looks like there will be no host quota for :CHN China at the 2025 World Games. This is surprising after the IFA went to Chengdu last year to put on a clinic. No doubt that given a year :CHN China has the resources and athletes to field a team that would be competitive in the placement matches.

 

:NAM Namibia will replace :CHN China on the women's side. While :NZL will replace :CHN on the men's side. 

 

:NAM Namibia finished 8th at the last Women's World Championships, while :NZL New Zealand finished 11th at the 2023 Men's World Championship.

    • The women's weights are okay given the distribution of competitors. The men's weights are definitely underweight. Adding 2-3kg in each event would make it more balanced.
