The Brits aren't messing around getting that 4x100 relay qualified. The roster is strong enough that they might not just get it qualified but also win both the men's freestyle relays.

James Guy has said all along he won't go but it's a shame Peters didn't take up the offer so they can field a men's medley relay. Will be most interesting to see if Peaty is moving towards his best form again.

Peaty probably needs the 'reps'. The men's 4 x 1 team is the major one, as they don't have a time yet following the DQ in 2023 - I think they're probably safe in most of the other relays on time rankings, including men's and mixed medley. All the same...

Yeah this definitely includes all of the big names, the only Dutch swimmer I can even think of that's missing is Tessa Giele (who won a surprising 50m butterfly gold in the short course European Champs recently).

I do like the inclusion of unproven young talents Van Wijk and Van Kalmthout who will get a chance to prove themselves on the 4x100m freestyle roster.

I do wish Australia had used this meet to give some young talents experience. Instead they persisted with their usual ridiculous qualifying standards

This is the record largest Lithuanian team, but I think that it will get bigger and bigger since our swimming is improving massively, so I expect female freestyle relays in the near future too.

Is there gonna be a prediction contest for this championship? Gonna be more complicated to do up with so many athletes skipping.

There is going to be a prediction contest for the swimming wch 2024?

And yes, trying to make entry lists for this contest is difficult to say the least. I have made preliminary entry lists for all events. However, many big nations haven't announced their official rosters yet, so the lists have to adjusted.

    • I have reported this again and they said it should be fixed now, please let me know if you are still facing issues.
    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
