Most likely a messed up update of some BGP routes (the things that make your network know where your provider's network is and make your provider's network know where Facebook's network is), which quickly screwed up everything related to Facebook

Huh, not the news i was expecting to see, but apparently they have ID'd the Zodiac killer  I had this pegged as one of the well known mysteries that would remain unsolved. Let's see, if this will be confirmed.
