French most want to go to Belgium. At least they are being realistic.  Will be a mess if they all turn up at once. We Belgians all want to go to the UAE, but cannot even go to Luxembourg!

I'm more surprised by the rather random looking Zanzibar of your neighbours :d Plus I'm surprised at the Maldives being that high :yikes:

Oh and obviously the 12 points from Cyprus go to...... :p

Tried to read another Games Bids Ceremony thread. This time for London 2012. I couldn’t even make it to the rings reveal because of how toxic that thread was. Someone literally wrote “I’m bored” midway through Pandemonium ?

How can anyone in Albania afford to travel to Qatar?

Going through nearly 6000 opening ceremony posts on the main Dutch forum (only place I was active at the time) was a bit much, but a quick scan did reveal a post of myself saying something like "finally" and judging by the surrounding posts, that must (not surprisingly) have been when the parade of nations started :d

they (I mean, the whole "klan") surely can afford to travel to Qatar whenever they want...:nopompom: :wall:

by the way, there's no chance Maldives is the main vacation destination for Italy (even as a dream destination...here all the people below 45/50 dream about Ibiza and/or Mykonos...:p...those over 50, instead, normally dream about staying at home without their sons/daughters trolling around and their boss harassing them )...

we usually go to Spain, Greece and/or Croatia mainly...most Italians can't even afford to go to Maldives...even in offseason (especially now, after the covid-19 disaster, with many people losing their job or having their salary partially cut)...

Ah, like the infamous 'Morocco Maffia' we have here....one of the big leaders of which was arrested late last year (finally) in....Dubai :p

I know, not Qatar, but close enough, sort of :d

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
    • FIFA announced the stadium and time for each match   for  Iran, it will be 2 matches in LA (and not just 1) and 1 in Seattle and luckily we avoided playing in Canada. absolutely nothing against the country, but there are just too many douchebag Iranian groups in Vancouver trying to mix everything with their stupid politics. it's better to stay away from them.   that can happen in US too but less likely. playing in LA is more like playing at home, at least I hope so. 2022 Qatar was a disaster from our point of view, hopefully this one remains only about football.
