Hmmm looks like another Dutch colonization isn't bad, coz I can't stand seeing a lot of government employees use TikTok like their life depend on it

Right, that reminds me I really should start reading a book I've had for years now, 'Nederland valt aan' ('Netherlands attacks'), about this mess:

What a sad two days. I’m definitely sending positive vibes the way of our Serbian users.

Meanwhile an intensely unhappy - by the looks of it - King Charles has now been officially crowned. With the focus not really being on the coronation but on the entire group of religious circus acts around it :p

So, they didn't follow Elizabeth's dying wish of not making Camilla an official queen. :yikes:

Somehow i expected something more grand. That footage from 1953 looked much better.

What's an "Official Queen" - RuPaul?

She was Queen Consort so far, which i believe is a lower title. Not anymore, after getting the crown at the ceremony.

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
    • FIFA announced the stadium and time for each match   for  Iran, it will be 2 matches in LA (and not just 1) and 1 in Seattle and luckily we avoided playing in Canada. absolutely nothing against the country, but there are just too many douchebag Iranian groups in Vancouver trying to mix everything with their stupid politics. it's better to stay away from them.   that can happen in US too but less likely. playing in LA is more like playing at home, at least I hope so. 2022 Qatar was a disaster from our point of view, hopefully this one remains only about football.

    • I don't think he'll mind too much
    • But his time isn`t valid at track record.
    • Vladimir Semirunniy dropped a 12:28 in the 10000m B division, which qualifies him for the Olympics as the fastest time this season (with the big asterisk that it was done in a quad start). Must be a real relief for the Polish team given he isn't looking likely to qualify for the 10000m (or the 5000m) by ranking.   Really problematic that they rank pair start and quad start times together, but whatever.   Also, the Wikipedia page for qualification is updated through the second day.
