But nowadays more and more people believe that their doctor is random WhatsApp messages

I wonder how surprised we should be with that in an age where there apparently are still tons of people thinking rhino horn powder gives you bigger erections.

Which is actually funnier since the actual Compendium entry for rhino horn is for curing fever, poisoning, and 'devil posession'

Regarding Chloroquine:

In absence of a universal medicine, doctors all over the world are using different combinations to treat the patients. Chloroquine is a known drug for Malaria. Some doctors claimed that it was effective in Covid-19 as well. Trump was irresponsible in declaring it as a sure cure without enough clinical trials. We need to give people hope that a vaccine or atleast an effective treatment is around the corner but Trump should not have named the drug.

He also praised Croatian-discovered Azithromycin. :d

But yeah, in that case also not enough tests have been made to deem that the medicine is beneficial.

Denmark is finally preparing to do more testing. Up to 5000 a day is expected. Yesterday just below 16.000 had been tested.

So expect the Danish numbers to move up the next week or so.

The numbers of people hospitalized is still growing also in the ICUs where the last couple of days has seen a significant growth at aout 25 %. Hope it won't stay at that rate. Then it will get rough in a week or so.

About testing in the Netherlands: it's still very limited due to very limited resources. They're especially in need of a certain kind of liquid used for the tests. Laboratories can quite easily create this mix if they have the 'recipe', but the Swiss manufacturer of the testing machines (pharmaceutical giant Roche) is refusing to share said recipe and can't deliver enough. They can't use those of different manufacturers, because when using machines and equipment of manufacturer A, you need the other stuff of manufacturer A as well.

Good news to hear about this, Massive testing and increasing the testing kids are the best resources to curb the virus.

    • Yes, the Africa Cup is counted, but I mean the Americup will be removed before the end of the qualification period (1 December 2027). Because the event finished before 1 December 2025.
    • It is already counted. Madagascar has won both men's and women's tournaments.
    • I think the 2025 Africa Cup will be counted in the Olympic ranking because it was played on December 5-7, while ther Americup was played on November 27-30 so it should not be counted, right?   The ranking cut-off is 1 December 2027 and the events of the last 2 years are counted, so I think the Americup 2025 will be cut.

Also probably first time, where realistic there is only one sport with full medal chances (ski jumping). There are always small chances with likes of Hrobat (DH), Kranjec (GS), Štuhec (DH), our snowboarders or in biathlon relays. But to be honest, at least two or three medals in ski jumping would be just fine, to continue tradition winning medals at Winter Olympics, last Games without any medal were in Torino 2006.    Beijing 2022: 42 athletes Pyeongchang 2018: 71 athletes Sochi 2014: 66 athletes,...
