I'm watching the shooting challenged organized by Pentashot - the laser shooting company. The meetings are on Zoom, so you need a code (they're on FB and instagram) and a good will of an "admin". ;) Forutnately, Emiliano Hernandez allowed me to watch his room, where two of my friends - Łukasz Gutkowski and Zsófi Földházi - are shooting today.

so the whole concept is apparently to try to persuade Matej Tóth to continue his career one more year and to go to defend his gold in Tokyo.

they will broadcast videos with encouraging announcements and greetings from other athletes from other sports and fans throughout the whole Rio 2016 race. Matej himself had no idea what was going on. the goal is apparently at the end of the broadcast around 19:50 to put one huge "emotional" video,

poor Matej

more than 190,000 people sent a greeting, supporting message or a short video during the 4-hour broadcast. Just a moment ago, Matej, extremely touched (he had absolutely no idea that some initiative like this is happening in our national public TV), announced and promised that he would not retire yet and will do everything he can to qualify to Tokyo next year and once there make next years August the whole Slovakia happy again. claiming : This is one hell of motivation I just got

yeah kind of  immagine he would say No. the whole 4 hours ultra secret mega project of RTVS would end in vain

Anyway it was really quite touching, all the videos and messages, I can only imagine the feelings and goosebumps Matej got today.

I would have laughed without any doubt...

Spoiler

...if, and only if the next day he'd have posted a video or something saying that was only a joke and of course he's going for Tokyo :p

    • The squad was reserve, but that's a disgrace. Apart from Favaretto, there's no generational change. Without Volpi and Errigo, we're very weak. After Paris, it was already clear that the USA had clearly overtaken us. Cerioni isn`t the miracle worker he once seemed.
    • Italian women's foil team, with Errigo and Favaretto, lost against Ukraine in quarterfinals
    • This Finn trains in Norway. It would probably be better to send 2-3 of our juniors to Norway, pay the local federation and let them train there. Maybe something will come of it. We should have given money to the Colturi team and now we would be in a much better situation than we are now. France: 2 win for Clement, 4 place for Amiez. You can see that there is progress and we? 19 Vinatzer? This is a joke.
    • Croatia, Bulgaria and even the UK have skier in the top 10 today. The UK doesn't even have mountains with snow. Can you fall any lower than we do? If the UK had mountains like ours they would be the best in the world.
    • Nothing will come of this Italian slalom. It's getting worse every year. The Italians' style of riding is simply not suited to the current times. It's too slow. One Lara Colturi will earn more points for this 2nd place than the entire Italian men's and women's slalom team by the end of this year... I would give money to the Colturi team than to the entire squad of these mediocre skier.
