Recommended Posts

Since I didn’t explicitly state it, the 2020 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships have been cancelled.

Today I learned there apparently is a women's March Madness as well.

it’s normally referred to as the March Mogadon, though.

2020 FISU World University Ski Orienteering Championships, and the last day of the on-going 2020 FISU World University Speed Skating Championships. On the bright side, Ski Orienteering will be back at the Winter Universiade next year :d

I believe back then you could only bet on the points over/under? Not on who actually wins the game? :p

Most likely on both over/under and the handicap (ie, team A wins by more than x or not), which is how also on extremely one-sided matches one can make sort of 50/50 bets :p

These were started, but after a few days (the downhills and super-G's went on as normal) the rest was cancelled earlier in the week.

    • You guys know how does it work if one or two Olympic Quotas need to be decided by teams both defeated in the QF or in the SF?
    • I stand with Ukraine of course, and it’s really horrible hearing about all the things going on with the war, Belarus (and Russia) should definitely be banned from competing because of it, and at the very least certainly not competing under their own flag but… if you’re going to do that for those two surely other countries should be punished as well, I can think of a few that have definitely done things along the same line?
    • The invasion towards Kyiv was started in 2022 from the territory of belarus. Belarussian infrrustructrure is beeing used for drone attacks on Ukraine. Belarus is involved in illegal transfers of stolen Ukrainian children from the occupied territories.
    • I think they can find at least one more venue in the United States.    LA has one venue because that is all they need for a 6-team tournament.
    • So good to finally get a  medal.    C4 here showed absolutely 0% of the cross country today except on You Tube.
    • American Qualification for 28 olympic seems to be given to SF qualified team in America   A2 vs B1(probably US, who is not related to this qualification process) .. A2 is difficult to be in SF A1 vs B2 seems likely to be Puerto Rico vs Mexico . So the winner would go to SF and win the ticekt   Japan vs Venezuela(?) : I think Venezuela also have high chances to win, but the Japan would be >50% in SF.  DR(?) vs Korea : DR could be also the winner (maybe >90%).  This Means that DR and PRorMexico(?) would have the highest chance to be in olympics.

    • Yeah all the new team sports have 6 teams. Squash only will have 16 entries per gender. I think they could've made an exception for baseball though. It's super popular in America. Venue should be packed for a lot of the games, especially for USA and other American nations.    I think it's a miss by the IOC to not have 10-12 teams to ensure that Mexico, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Puerto Rico and more American nations have a good chance to get in. Those nations have a large population in LA and would fill the venue.
