Just muscle memory, he's been delivering stones like this for his entire career. He's even done it against teams ranked way below him, that he would beat regardless. IRRC Hasselborg has said that they don't agree with Edin that touching granite impacts the game at all (same with Lachat on Schwaller, and I'm sure there's a few others I'm missing), and them and Edin are not only good friends but represent Sweden together. Brushing the granite with your finger has no impact on the speed or direction of the stone, and even if it did Jacobs isn't the only one to do it and it happens more times than people realize... I wanted to respond to this, but I'd rather not talk about it again like I said -

America's 33 medals came in 11 different sports. Italy's 30 came from 10. Netherland's 20 medals came in just 2. (ST and LT SS, of course) -
lol, that's not cheating, especially since WC came out and did not disqualify the team. -

Great finish for the . Most gold medals ever, and third most total medals ever. Yes, there were some that we left on the table, but we snagged a few that I wasn't suspecting either. I suppose it balances it out in the end. And , you all should be thrilled. Great games for you! 3rd most golds, and 3rd most total medals! And with a record-breaking (I think) 30 NOCs (if we include / ) on the medal tally, there are a lot of happy citizens in the world! And yes, I know there are many that didn't make it...but may we all keep going and look forward to the next games! -

Well said Clemsonbeav. I will certainly agree that the medal ceremony for the hockey was the most memorable moment. There was a 47 year old man on my couch doing everything in his power not to shed some tears watching that. I’m sure that one hurt in Canada and frankly we got outplayed (aside from at goal) but I think that was the kind of medicine we need. -

Moreover Norway, Sweden, Germany, France, well Denmark. Italy, Poland, France,... I think there is no reason to add it from reason to not wide medal table -
It make nosense for me, besides not being typical winter sports, then how many quotas are used in nordic combined and how many needs volleyball and handball? We would increase of number of quotas in winter olympics, or we will cut tournaments of both sports from 12 teams to 8 or even 6 and having round robin like in basketball 3x3?
