you know, sometimes those red cards are the correct decision...but in this case I don't think it was.

Oh well... at least we got our first medal on the first day. Szilágyi can't win the gold for us every time (and this applies to Paris as well, someone has to step up at some point because it's literally impossible for one person to win the gold for us every time).

if I were an athlete involved in one of today's gold medal matches I'd get mad (it's worse than the 40 minute interval at the Superbowl) 

by the way, it's not that usual to have the President of the Republic participating to this kind of ceremonies in Italy...Fencing is always making miracles in this Country
