Brad Jacobs leaves Team Carruthers. Seems increasingly likely that he’ll join Marc Kennedy, Brett Gallant, and Ben Hebert now.

Called it ;)

More curling shakeups this off-season, as Lisa Weagle joins Team St Georges as lead. Hasn’t competed in four-woman curling since Beijing 2022.

Playing a national event this weekend in Stockholm where the competition is not divided into men/women. Most  teams in the elite division are men obviously but one interesting combination competing in my group is the world/olympic Champions Oskar Eriksson and Christopher Sundgren from Team Edin, together with Agnes Knockenhauer (olympic Champ 2018 with Hasselborg) and Anna Hasselborgs amateur husband. :d

Is Anna Hasselborg’s husband an amateur curling player, or is he an amateur husband? :P

(that sounds like a fun team and a fun event)

Haha amateur player, but a decent one. :d Don't know how he is as a husband but they have 2 kids. We lost a tight game against them unfortunately.

    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places.
