Yeah, that must be the one I’m thinking of. I remember they had special graphics up so the races were taking place in a kind of Tintin place called Antholz-Hochfilzen, Antholz-Pokljuka etc etc

Following the expulsion of spectators from the World Cup event in Nové Mesto na Moravě (5-8 March) due to the spread of coronavirus, the International Biathlon Union (IBU) has taken further preventive measures.

There will be no press conference at the venue and journalists will have to maintain a minimum distance of one and a half meters from athletes in the mixzone.

As SID reported on Tuesday, there will be no formal ceremonies after the race, the only one being a short flower ceremony to award medalists. The entire VIP sector will remain closed, disinfectants will be added in the sanitary facilities.

 

The Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš announced on Tuesday that the government plans to compensate the prganizing committee for the loss of profit.

Sounds like athletes might have released this virus just to get this done instead of having microphones shoved in their faces

Kamila Zuk is out of Nove Mesto.

 

She picked up an ankle injury during mixed relay in Raubichi and missed the pursuit there already. Turns out it's something more serious. Anna Maka will replace her in NM (welcome 85th place, bwoah).

After skipping France her overall Cup chances were almost extinct already. She put all her chips for the World Champs and cashed in.

 

Wierer has almost 100 pts lead in the overall, God knows if Eckhoff recovers from the WCh disaster and Oeberg is very consistent but she needs to rack up wins to close the gap.

Yes, Roeiesland completely vindicated for standing up to the pressure from the Norwegian media: pre-Christmas success is often fool’s gold as we are seeing with Klaebo in the CC as well.

Hang on, it is Sprint - Relay - Mass Start this week, so I think this is going to be a throwaway day for Weirer. 
 

If this was Cross Country, Hermann would be setting a new World Record for time in the Comfy Chair, she finishes first.

 

Eckhoff 0-1, that was Hermann’s only threat.
