Summer Paralympic Games Paris 2024

14-year-old Ismail Barlov :BIH earns the seventh medal ever for his NPC :yes

Interestingly, athletes from Bosnia and Herzegovina have won a medal at every Summer Paralympic Games since Sydney 2000, despite only winning a single medal each edition. The men's sitting volleyball team can change that statistic if they win a medal at Paris 2024.

What would be the minimum requirements one needs to play boccia, in terms of being able to move? Asking you because you seem to watch it quite a bit :d

NOT an official source, but should provide a nice overview of each classification for people unfamiliar with the sport: https://lexi.global/sports/boccia

That would be David Smith :GBR. There's a Union Jack on his sleeve.

I think that Italy could improve the Tokyo medal table :mumble:

70 medals on the shot :yes

I'm betting between 60 and 70 for today. I have an average grasp of the realities of para-sports and I'm betting quite carefully. From what I see, over 50% of our medals are in swimming. It was similar in Tokyo. It's a shame that we have so few medals in track and field. Unfortunately, in fencing we can't break the dominance of China in Paris.

Fun fact: tomorrow in the men's 100m freestyle S6, it's the first individual outing for Thijs van Hofweegen at these Olympics, who is the son of the man who found me my current job in 2020 and with that basically got my life on track :cheer:

If I'm not mistaken, Thijs was working as a cleaner every Friday in the place where I stayed before that, until then I had no idea he was a swimmer (and medalist! Silver in Rio) :d Go Thijs!
